My Story

Change is inevitable. As humans, we seek permeance. We look to hold on to what brings us comfort, what we are familiar with. But it seems the harder we hold on, the more we struggle. The ever-changing nature of life is ironically, the only constant that we have.

I believe that this technology is the greatest tool we have for positive change. Over my time earning my undergraduate degrees, I’ve been involved in a number of projects that leverage cutting edge technology to help groups who can benefit from it most. From working with the Idaho Access Project to develop a campus wide Bluetooth beacon wayfinding solution to help those with visual impairments navigate around campus, to helping students find their passion in after school STEM classes, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact that technology can foster. In a world developing faster than ever before, it’s ultimately up to us how we utilize these tools.

Over the last years of my life, I’ve faced challenges harder that I could have imagined, overcome obstacles I would have never predicted, and found opportunity in places I would have least expected. Above all, I’ve learned to embrace the unknown. To welcome the uncertain. I may not know what tomorrow brings, but I can say for certain that I will embrace it with open arms.

Heading into the end of my time at university, I am once again faced with uncertainty. This time, however, I look forward to the story that remains untold. I know that what challenges me will ultimately make me stronger, and that every obstacle overcome is a step closer to where I’d like to be.

Change is inevitable. Change is constant. Change is possibility. Change is growth. Change is everything.
